pumpkin pie


Salam buat kengkawan yang dapat ke sini. Terima kasih...hehe...melawat blog saya yang tak seberapa nie .
Apapun entri saya sudah semestinya cerita dapur saya ...berasap atau tidak...time malas lah tue.
Dan hari ini saya letakan pumpkin pie saya ...asalnya saya nak buat bingka saja...tapi bila saya ternampak dari blog minah saleh nie ...terasa terlior pulak nak makan sekeping pie pulak sebab nampak cantik sangat kejadian nya. Maka dengan cepatnyaa berubah hati. Haaa susah kan tapi jika tak buat nie nanti dok teringat pulak.
Setelah siap maka saya dengan tak sabar sabar lah nak merasa ...macam mana taste dia. Alahai boleh lah sedap juga tapi pada tekak saya ...(org melayu) saya lebih suka bingka lagi. Tapi orang kat rumah cakap sedap

Simple pumpkin pie

Ingredients

    2  9-inch (23-cm) frozen pie shells (regular, not deep dish) - saya buat kulit sendiri
    4  eggs
    1 cup (250 mL) granulated sugar
    385 ml can evaporated milk
    28 oz (796 mL) can unsweetened pumpkin purée (not pie filling)
    1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp (2 mL) each ground nutmeg and salt
    1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground allspice

Place oven rack in bottom position and preheat oven to 450F (230C). Remove pie shells from freezer and place on a rimmed baking sheet. Thaw at room temperature 10 minutes. Prick bottoms and sides of shells in several places with a fork. Bake on bottom rack of preheated oven until light golden, 6 to 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk eggs with sugar until evenly mixed. Gradually whisk in evaporated milk, pumpkin purée and seasonings. Pour into hot pie shells, filling to the rim. Smooth tops.
Bake on bottom rack of preheated oven 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350F (180C). Continue baking until a knife tip inserted into centre comes out clean, 45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack at least 20 minutes before serving. Slice into wedges and top with whipped cream, if desired. Pie will keep, covered and refrigerated, up to 2 days.
